Interesting to watch this feeding time.
The adult male warns the family as he is arriving with food, so quickly the female protects the chicks, as they all crouch down to protect themselves.
Always cool to see the whole fish coming in with these birds, since usually the male will remove the head of the fish before he lands on the nest, Not so attractive?
This is my favourite location for Osprey viewing. We usually have the place to ourselves, and there are other nice birds and insects in the area to photograph between deliveries. Also, that very awesome pine tree in the background and an eye level view is so superb.
We look forward to some more return trips next summer.
