We drove to a nice pond that has been busy with a kingfisher family, and we had some luck! I believe this is a first year bird, learning to hunt for itself.
It seemed to be very comfortable with my lens on it for about 40 minutes. After many shots, she then she flew over to have a close look at me, much to my surprise.
I will share a few more shots from this encounter, coming this week. for me, this is easily the most difficult bird to capture here in Ontario, Canada, So I was happy to catch a few shots.
Also, using the 1.4 tele-converter, and the apc-c sensor setting on the camera gave me some extra reach. She was close to 60 yards away!
Thanks for looking!
