A mating pair of lions is not so common to see, as usually they will find a more remote and private area to engage. Now, with the number of tourists in Tanzania, these lions are not quite so private.

In this case, it appears the male was not so impressed with us watching, though there were several other safari trucks at the location in the center of the crater.

He turned to us with something less than a happy smile! It was nice to see a healthy aged male in Tanzania, spreading his DNA. Too often, hunters kill these full-grown lions.

Awesome and real.
Daily Timeline

Our basic daytime wake-up call is 5:30 am.

Bright and early! But not so bright. The sun begins to rise at 5:40 am.

We meet in the restaurant and have coffee and a light breakfast.

Then it is time to load our gear into the safari truck.

We head out each morning shortly after 6, and get out shooting right away.

Most locations where we stay are inside the National Parks.

Lunch and breaks will be taken during the drive, in most

cases. From there we game drive the entire day, and we stop back at the

lodging around 6 pm, at dusk. These are long days,

giving everyone a great chance at thousands of images.

Room Allocations

We have 8 people in total going on this tour.

4 people total in each safari truck.

There is a $750.00 USD surcharge for a single person room.

Costs

The total fee for this tour is $8,600.00 USD per

person. We base this on double occupancy. Single

supplement is available on request. Full payment must

be made 3 months in advance, directly to our partners

in Tanzania, Maasai Wanderings Inc.

Payments

Wire transfer information will be sent to all participants

via email. We are in the midst of planning more

tours to Tanzania, so our future dates and fees will be
