Rain soaked grebes
Maria and I have been following a family of red-necked grebes and their new chick. The nest was swamped last week with all the rain, so we hope they manage to rebuild.
We stayed out of the heavy downpour, but while there was a bit of rain I enjoyed catching a different atmosphere. Here we can see junior riding the back of momma, and it size will soon be too much to carry around. It is amazing how much food they tale in at this age, and how fast they grow!
Good fun, and fresh air.
