This is a male Von der Decken's hornbill.
We watched this bird fly to the other side of this tree, which was a fair distance away. Since this is not a common species, I thought it would be good to give it a try, and maybe catch the bird posing on a nice perch.
No such luck! He did find some food, and quickly raced back to the family nest to feed the young. Though I really have no idea what he has captured! I do hope to find out some day.
This is another one of those "should I or shouldn't I edit this one." In the end, I am happy with the result. The Sony gear did a nice job of collecting a worthwhile image, even after a huge crop.
Always fun to try!
