Wood duck take off!<br />

It was nice to have some sunlight, and an opportunity to catch this male in lift off mode. Beautiful birds, with amazing colours. <br />
<br />
I enjoy shooting at this pond every Fall season, we saw 4 pairs of ducks during the last three visits. <br />
<br />
A low ISO at 500, and a wide open aperture of f6.3, left me with just enough shutter speed to freeze the action : 1250th of a second.<br />
<br />
Maybe one more chance this week, and some more images to edit.<br />
