Raymond's Tiger Prints : Recent Images
Belted Kingfisher
He knew I was working on him!
Honestly, this guy posed for stills and videos for at least 20 minutes. What a character, and he is so proud! He looks directly at me at least 10 times. If the image looked ok, I would process one, but the side profile looks better, in my opinion.
I was switching from video to static images. The sun disappeared behind the trees and gusty strong winds made this whole night very challenging. I was doing my best to keep the ISO down.
I doubt I will use the videos, but a couple stills look ok. So, using 600 mm, plus the teleconvertor, plus the crop sensor, which left me with 1260 mm at f9. Then a heavy crop too!
So then we have the wind! I settled for 1/60th of a second, and did a few bursts.
Here is an unlisted link here to my YouTube account, showing the video I have processed so far. You can hear the gusts!

So, we try again tomorrow, and hope for another chance.
Thanks for stopping by, appreciated.
