A fun day with the Dragonflies!

Quite a few shots in flight, while playing with some A9 settings. During one series, I capture this dragonfly mating with his partner in flight! It came out quite nice, and I will share it later.

I messed around with different settings on the ISO today, this one was shot at 3,200 which gave me a shutter speed of 1/6,400. So we have a nice freeze of the action.

I am not sure what kind of bug is below, but it didn't flinch! And it held its ground. A very busy place with many dragonflies today, I did get a little extra sun, but no burn.

I had a female Kingfisher fly into about 10 yards, for a sweet portrait, but I need to do some cloning on a stick! Maybe later! Also found a House wren nest in a log, so they were busy feeding bugs to the young.

A flock of Cedar waxwings was around, but usually in thick cover. I missed one good chance first thing with the waxwings, as all the memory cards were in the Venza! Doh! Next time.

I also found a female hummingbird feeding on a flower near the Dragonflies, so I will watch for her again.

Thanks for looking! More soon!

I am planning and preparing a return to India in June, with anther 8 days plus of viewing and photographing these superb Tigers, so I have been reviewing folders of images from previous trips, trying to find a 'missed" image.

This is Tigress Noor, she has been busy raising several cubs for years now, doing it very successfully. Adding to the population of wild tigers in India is the key to this animal’s survival. With the government reducing the number of poaching incidents, there seems to be some new hope.

What caught my eye about this shot was the intense stare she gave me while having a cool down in this pond, and a drink.
