Nightscapes, Landscapes and Nature
Daisy is trying to keep her feet dry!
Oxtongue River, west of Algonquin is a great site for landscape photography.
With this shot, I am using the a7r4 + 20mm f1.8G lens, and Jobu tripod and Jr. gimbal head. Also, for fun I bumped the camera up to uncompressed Raw files, to see the difference in detail. 15 shots = 1.9 GB of information on the hard drives!
For processing, it was fun trying the Sony Imaging Edge Desktop, which will take your ARW file, and make all the raw file changes, so since it is designed for Sony files, I thought I would give it a try. The software seemed to do a nice job.
It was getting dark with heavy overcast, and some light rain started so this was the end of our day. Almost too humid, but I did enjoy the soft light for a lot of my images.
Also, I gave this new lens a workout with 4K video, so much fun. I hope to get back up there this coming week to try again.
I think Daisy took around 500 shots! Maria was using the A9 + a new lens to the kit, I bought a 28-70 OSS kit lens for the second camera, so on a landscape shoot, we can keep both cameras busy, with different views.
More images and videos to share soon! Thanks for looking.
