South Texas was hot! and humid, but I was able to find a small garden with some shade, and a bit of a breeze. 4 trips to this park, and about 15 hours of hard "work" trying to catch a few decent images of some hummingbirds.
The heat was a bit overwhelming for me, so I had to take a few breaks, and work shorter days than usual… but wow, was it fun and challenging. These "ruby's" are crazy difficult to catch in low light conditions. The 400 mm f2.8 would have been the ticket to success here! (next time!)
Overall, I am happy with a few shots., and looking forward to a return trip in better climate. From what I hear, November is excellent for the raptors migration south, so let's go!
