Tiny green Gem!
The one hummingbird that we often see here in Ontario is the Ruby-throated. I think this is a male feeding on a flower this morning, giving Maria and I some fun and challenges!
The sun was popping out, and the cloud were intermittent, so the lighting was interesting.
ISO 5000 seems to be more than safe for the A9 camera, while using Topaz to recover the details, and reduce the noise.
A shatter speed of 1/2500 of a second was just enough to freeze the wing movement for most of my images, though I do prefer a shutter speed of 1/5000 minimum.
I will be looking for new locations and more hummingbirds soon. This weekend, we head east if all goes well for a visit with buddy Bruce Kennedy, and an Osprey family.
Should be fun!
