Fiscal shrike Hunting.
This bird will hunt mostly small critters, rodents, lizards, and insects. We see so many of this species perched along the roadside, so we only stop for the nice backgrounds and environment.
It is nice to be selective with certain species, catching only quality images as we game drive through the parks.
For the most part, we keep the safari truck rolling, until someone see's a shot, We will make a quick stop, then once everyone is happy, we keep it rolling! This is a very productive system.
Now, there is always the scene where we have to sit and wait. Investing time and patience will usually pay off, as the predators will often lay and rest before hunting.
Pretty much every time we have worked a scene, even for a couple of hours, a good result is inevitable.
Thanks for looking!
