European bee-eater

Definitely not a good photo of this species, but this past trip to Tanzania gave my first chance to photograph these beauties. Harsh light and backlit, I did the best I could.


This is such a superb and colourful bird, it was difficult to pass my images by, so I am hoping for another chance on the next tour! I believe we found them in the "Small Serengeti", which is an area inside the Tarangire National Park.
