A bit of back light on this bird!
Helmeted guineafowl
Over exposing to bring out the colours and details is a must in this case. We were fortunate as these ground birds were crossing the road, so we had a chance to photograph them with poor light, and good light as you will see in the next image.
A very common species, seen everywhere within the Tanzania Parks, Here in the Ngorongoro Crater they are not so common, as there are few trees on the crater floor.
They like to roast for safety high in the trees, so these open flat grasslands are not preferred.
A very "dinosaur" looking bird, so cool to see and photograph.
Love Nature.
