Africa Photo Tours - Tanzania
Far from Alone!
This handsome Zebra grazing on the plains of the Ngorongoro Crater is part of a large harem of females controlled by one dominant male Zebra.
With some images, I prefer to single out an animal as large groups of the species are more difficult to capture, and less interesting to me.
With a fairly clean background, and a brilliant looking animal, I was able to catch a few frames with the single Zebra.
Zebra and Wildebeest travel and herd together as they have a symbiotic relationship for a few reasons. They each feed on different and preferred grasses, and they adhere to each other's warnings of predators in the area. Traveling together 12 months a year, the great migration of East Africa is focused on these 2 species.
The Mara river crossings will be on the agenda for the August 2020 tour, a spectacular sight to see!
Join our group, 5 people only with 2 safari trucks. Superb accommodations, and brilliant nature to enjoy! The last time I was in the North Serengeti we photographed a pride of lions 64 animals strong, many with brand new cubs!
Awesome and real in Tanzania!
